The main purpose of Veta-Platform is to create a mechanism for acquiring the non-formal education in various agricultural fields actual and demanded by the labor market in Georgia. Besides, the Veta-platform provides recognition opportunities of the acquired knowledge for users.
As a result of a project implemented by the Agricultural Development Association (ADA) in 2021-2022, the Vocational training program –”Agricultural Plants Integrated Protection” - was established in Imereti Region, in Baghdati branch of college “IBERIA”.
In order to enhance the sustainability potential of the mentioned project, the beneficial college gained the authorized right of the non-formal knowledge recognition in the field of Agricultural Plants Integrated Protection and the presented platform ensuring the access to the electronic version of the target educational program (Agricultural Plants integrated Protection) was created by ADA.
As a result of the above-mentioned activities the Veta-Platform provides the opportunity to acquire the professional education in the field of Agricultural Plants Integrated Protection and also in case of relevant need the users of the platform have the opportunity to gain the official recognition of the acquired knowledge in the project beneficial College (“IBERIA”).
The long-term goal of the veta-platform is to create an accessible mechanism for receiving and recognizing non-formal education - a Georgian-language resource in various agricultural fields and hence, it is planned to place other priority vocational training programs on the platform in the future.
The project was implemented with the financial facilitation of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) project (“Modernization of Vocational Education and Training (VET) System related to Agriculture in Georgia (VET phase 2).
